Digital Library Manager
Bethel University

  • Collaborates with campus partners to plan and implement digital collections of Bethel’s scholarly, historical, and cultural materials (i.e. History Center/Archives, Permanent Art Collection, Biology Department, Faculty Development, etc.)
  • Collaborates with campus partners to design and implement the Makerspace
  • Manages and coordinates Makerspace technologies, student staff, and facilitates its use for independent exploration and curricular integration.
  • Maintains awareness and develop professional expertise in new technologies, relevant national and international standards, disciplinary standards, and best practices for digital collections, projects, and making technologies (metadata, software, hardware, intellectual property)
  • Works to promote scholarly communication through digital repository and publishing services to campus faculty, staff, and students
  • Supervises Digital Library and Makerspace student workers and volunteers
  • Administers the Library’s digital asset management system (CONTENTdm) and digital project hosting (Reclaim Hosting, Omeka, WordPress)
  • Creates web interfaces for repository resources
  • Prepares online exhibits
  • Promotes use of Library’s digital collections through classroom demonstrations, meetings, and professional conferences
